Impromptu
Let’s Talk “Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill”
Location: Along the water in the Tarpon Springs area, you will find this excellent locally owned seafood restaurant; you will find lots of parking there, so don’t worry when you see the crowds in the area. They have a lot located across the street from the restaurant.
Service: I highly recommend making a reservation as this is one of the famous seafood restaurants in the Tarpon Springs district. When we arrived at the restaurant, we waited a few minutes to be seated, and when I say make a reservation, please do so to avoid a long wait. Once we were seated, we had a great server who knew the menu to the T. Overall, excellent service.

Food: The food did not disappoint. We had visited the Tarpon Spring district before and always wanted to try Rusty Bellies, plus our friend who met us there is a huge fan. So, the food was plenty and tasty. It was an impromptu get-together with some friends we hadn’t seen in a bit. They brought out some complimentary hush puppies. Oh my, were they delicious!!! We ordered Authentic English Fish & Chips (Crispy beer battered domestic cod, served with tackle fries and cole slaw) and Madame Butterfly,
(Fresh Gulf shrimp, grilled, blackened, or fried. Served with two sides). There was plenty on the plates. Overall, highly recommend it.

Ambience: The ambiance and decor were walls of family pictures with a lot of history about the local fishermen and the family of the restaurant. The aquatic theme makes you feel really close to the water. Excellent choice for a seafood restaurant. There is outdoor seating if you wish to dine outside.
