Let’s Talk “Anchor & Brine Restaurant.”

Location: This hidden gem is located in Marriot Downtown Tampa Hotel. You should know by now, I love different, and when we saw this place we said, ‘yep we have to try it!” Looking at the online pictures with outside view; was a hit for me, and the fact that my husband was on board with outside, shoot, I was all over that 😂 . There is valet parking, but make sure you get the stamp on your receipt. If not, you could end up paying about $20.00 for parking.
Service: The service was fantastic, we were running late, made a call, and they still held our dining table for us. We were greeted by the host, who seated us right away. I recommend making reservations, especially if you want the dining on the dock area close to the water. Our server guided us through the menu, and he did not disappoint. I could see myself going back here just to hang out either with hubby, a friend, or a group of friends. Overall, the service was stupendous.
Food: Now, The food was amazing! We had the FRIED CALAMARI (chipotle aioli / pickled chili /grilled lemon) it was okay, not my fav appetizer. Moving into our main course, I ordered the PAPPARDELLE (lobster/rock shrimp/mushrooms / toasted pecorino charred green onion); this was, oh my word; the flavors were on point. I wanted more, but it was so much I could only eat half of it and boxed the rest for the next day. Hubby ordered N.Y STRIP STEAK GF braised oxtail / grilled broccoli / roasted potato/bourbon sauce; he was well pleased with his meal. The side of ROASTED CARROTS (pepita chimichurri) just melted in our mouths. There was so much of everything and so tasty, we boxed the leftovers. Overall, the food was fantastic and quite tasteful.
Ambience: The ambience was my overall favorite. I love anything water, so sitting outside and hearing, seeing the water made me feel like I was in a whole different world. We celebrated our anniversary, so you know I was on cloud nine. The minute you walk into the hotel to go to the outside restaurant, it makes you say, you know what? I may want to stay here for a night and just enjoy the downtown district of Tampa. The area was clean, people were friendly, it wasn’t too crowded. Just a pleasant and wonderful experience. I was so impressed I would return here for sure!
