Let’s Talk “The Pearl”
Location: This gem is located in Boston, MA, on District Avenue at South Bay.
Service: It was our first time in Boston; we had just gotten off our 3-hour early morning flight, checked into our hotel, and were hungry. We wanted to try an authentic seafood Bostonian restaurant. There was a gentleman who worked at the hotel, and knowing my friendly Southern husband, he asked him for a seafood restaurant around town. The guys said hey, check out the Pearl. We entered the restaurant, and it felt like the space was tight for a family of three, but some friendly guests gave up their seats for us to have a cozy little area close to the bar. There was no host to welcome us, but the bartender Cedric was one of the most talented and friendliest servers we came across. One of the managers kept checking on us, which was really lovely. Overall, the service was excellent.
Food: This is what you are waiting to read about, the food. Well, hands down to the chef, there is some excellent culinary dishes to brag about. There were a variety of options to select from the menu. We did shareable meals and ordered the Salt & Pepper Shrimp (spicy fried shrimp, jalapeños, and garlic; Grilled Salmon; Truffle Frites (hand-cut fries made fresh daily), and a Brisket Mac & Cheese. My drink that was so delish was an Espresso Martini ( Pearl Vanilla Vodka, Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua, Espresso Liqueur) yum, my first, and I will try again). The meals were delicious; that brisket mac & cheese was so tasty, we took our time eating this one 😋. The food was authentic. Thank you to the gentleman who recommended this place. Everyone in Boston has got to try it!
Ambience: The ambiance is really a good vibe and just a gem. My only setback with the restaurant is the tight space. However, I liked that the bar was at the center, so there were boots on one side of the restaurant and dining tables on the other. The decor was vibrant yet laid back. I recommend this place for a night out with your loved one or just some girls’ night out.
