BIZOU BRASSERIE

Spread The Love!

A LITTLE FRENCH!

Let’s Talk “Bizou Brasserie”

Location: Located in the Downtown Tampa, FL. There is valet parking ($10.00) as there is limited parking downtown. The iconic building is the old courthouse of Tampa.

Service: We were seated right away as it was Easter brunch. Most of the popular restaurants were packed for Easter brunch, so I highly recommend reservations. Our server Erin was so excellent and knowledgeable about the history of the building.

Food: Our server Erin told us that there was no specific menu because it was an Easter brunch because it was Easter. There was a wide brunch selection of breakfast and lunch items. We will have to go back to try the food from the menu.

Ambience:   The ambience was a very historical design, as it’s the old courthouse building. There are two entrances to the restaurant either through the hotel (stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor) or you can go up the stairs into the restaurant from right side of the building. Outside is very formal, but inside you will find a really relaxed restaurant experience. According to Erin, most of the furniture is from the old courthouse. Now that is cool!

Price: $$$

A Dash of Encouragement:: Bizou Brasserie, you know me now that I like different. Bizou means kiss in French, and brasserie is a casual French restaurant selling simple, hearty food. This place was found by me doing a quick search for Easter Sunday brunch. I would have never thought there was a casual French restaurant in an iconic and historic building. After church, this was the perfect setting as the place was not crowded, which was surprising for an Easter brunch. This reminded me of the message our Pastor brought that day; it was a message of hope. In speaking to our server Erin and learning about the history of the building, we struck up a conversation and in that conversation was a moment of encouragement and hope. I enjoy meeting people and learning about them, I would say I am great at networking, and I know meeting Erin was no coincidence. Remember, you never know if the person you meet may bring you hope and encouragement.
