New Home away from Home!
Let’s Talk ” Mother’s”
Location: Nestled in the heart of the Westchase area of Tampa. Parking is not a challenge as it sits in a small shopping mall close to the Publix store.
Service: We were greeted by the host as soon as we entered the restaurant. When the host asked if we had reservations, I said “no,” thinking it would be a long wait; as the restaurant was packed, to my surprise, we were seated right away. Wow. Overall, the service was a pleasant experience.

Food: Our server greeted us and was terrific in helping us select items from the menu. They had a wide selection on their brunch/lunch menu. The site stated it is a home restaurant, and it indeed did feel that way. I’ll tell you more about that in the ambience section. Come on, stay focused on the food. So, I was between two choices Traditional Eggs Benedict (Two Poached Eggs, English Muffin, Canadian Bacon, Hollandaise.) and The Garden (Spinach, Red Peppers, Tomato, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Onion, and Sour Cream); guess which one I chose. If you said the Garden Omelet, you are on point. I ordered a side of a waffle. The dish was really very tasty and. Hubby ordered the Mother’s Traditional Breakfast (Two Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Turkey Sausage or Canadian Bacon, choice of Toast & Breakfast Potatoes.) with a side of their cheese grits. Chicken and Waffles (Crispy Fried Chicken, Buttermilk Waffles, and Maple Syrup) for the little one. Overall, we were satisfied. We said we would return if we were in the Westchase area.

Ambience: The ambience was that rustic southern country feeling from when you entered the restaurant, even using the restrooms. 😉 So, earlier, I stated it’s a new home away from home. I was in Tampa but felt like I was not at the same time. They have weekly specials. Kids eat free on Tuesdays, and live entertainment on certain nights. There is inside and outside seating. There are homemade items you can purchase as well. Totally enjoyed dining at this newfound gem.
