Impromptu!
Let’s Talk “Sea Sea Riders Restaurant”
Location: First off Happy New Year and I look forward to writing great reviews for 2022. So this place is located in the heart of the downtown district on Main Street of Dunedin, FL. Sea Sea Riders Restaurant is in the perfect place as you walk the downtown district. Parking can be somewhat of a challenge in the area, but you can park right in front of Edgewater Park and walk through the little city.
Service: This is an impromptu “let’s get out of the house and go for a drive.” Dunedin was totally not on our minds not until we both looked at each other said, let’s do Downtown Dunedin. After taking a stroll down the main street, we decided to eat at Sea Sea Riders. We thought it would be a long wait, but we ended up being seated right away by our friendly host Sharon. Our server Jay was friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, the service experience was excellent.
Food: The menu had four categories to choose from, “The snacks, Greens, Sandwiches, and Main. So, who can go to Dunedin and not invite your friend from Clearwater to join us, Plus she is a former resident of the Dunedin area. So, back to the food. She ordered the Clam Chowder (thyme n black pepper), this was yummy 😋!, the grouper cheeks (beer-battered cheeks, sweet corn relish, and cajun sauce), and the fried green tomatoes (pan-fired corn succotash, farmers cheese, buttermilk ranch). Husband had the same dishes except he added the Scallop Ceviche (mango, chipotle, lime, red onion, tortilla chips). The kiddo we just ordered grilled chicken and fries. Now, I wanted something light but totally went opposite and ordered the Gulf Shrimp (boiled peanut pesto, white cheddar, cherry tomatoes, egg noodles). Oh, my word, I loved my dish, which was recommended by our server Jay. Jay, thank you! You were point on. I think I ordered the best dish at the table, totally biased here. Overall, charming restaurant with delicious meals.
Ambience: We entered the restaurant from Main street instead of the actual entrance. Quite interesting, lol. We figured out that we entered the wrong door when finding the host to be seated. So, in all, there are two entrances, just make sure you enter from the side street. There is indoor and outside seating. There is also a private area to host a small gathering. Upon our exit, I met the owner Sylvia, and we were able to let her know that we had a lovely experience. The setting is charming, and you really get a sense of being in a New England state. Great place for a date, girls’ outing, or family outing.

A Dash of Encouragement: Sea Sea Riders, so funny we were indeed on a ride finding this place. Being here made me think of living in the moment and being spontaneous. As an educator, it’s all about planning. That is my make-up; I am a planner by heart. So, doing something impromptu is not my strength. I was having a hard week with so much going on in our lives, so many uncertainties. I felt like I had no control over any of it. Finally, I heard the Lord tell me, let it go, and just trust me. So, when we both said, let’s do something like go for a ride, I was on board. It turned out to be a great evening, with great company and excellent conversation. We even had ice cream across the street from the restaurant. I lived in the moment and never even thought of anything that transpired during the week. Maybe, you are facing some uncertainties in life. I would encourage you along with myself… Live in the moment! Do something impromptu; it may just relieve the pressure you are facing, and it will help bring some clarity amid all the craziness of life. Our new motto for 2022: Live in the moment, and do something spontaneous!
