Let’s Talk “Del Frisco’s Grille”
Location: Del Frisco is located close to the International Airport of Tampa, FL. It’s surrounded by a variety of other restaurants. They have valet parking, but there is a huge parking lot with lots of space to park as well.
Service: I stumbled across this restaurant on my Opentable app trying to find a restaurant for our date night. I wasn’t to sure about it, but after reviewing the menu I was open to try, so I made reservations. We were greeted by the host, a very pleasant gentleman, we were even 5 minutes late and was still seated right away. It was a packed house, so we were excited and couldn’t wait to try the food. Our server Briana was amazing, she was so knowledgeable and again guided us through the menu. One of the managers name Joe came by to check on us throughout the dining experience. We even struck up a great conversation about education. Great conversation! Great service!
Food: For starters we had the soup of the day, “Braised Beef Stew”, I really enjoyed this soup, the flavors were seasoned just right for my taste, my husband on the other hand thought the flavored was a little to on the salted side. We asked our server for suggestions from the menu and I went ahead and selected the Sea Feature of the Day ” Pan Seared Thai Halibut over coconut Rice, Topped with coconut Jalapeno sauce, and a Pineapple and Mango Salsa, this was a bit disappointing, as something was missing from the sauce. On the other hand, hubby ordered the USDA Prime Top Sirloin with side of Hand-Mashed Russet Potatoes and crispy Brussel Sprouts with bacon Lardons & Lemon Butter. His steak came undercooked and it was sent back, by the time it came back out he ate all his mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and some of my halibut. Again, he was disappointed when the steak was served to him for the second time. Our server and the manager were so accommodating to the situation and apologized. We tried to end the evening with a dessert and ordered the Coconut Cream Pie topped with white chocolate shavings. Overall, disappointed with the entrees and dessert, a plus on the appetizer.
Ambience: Walking into the entrance of the restaurant was inviting, the full bar was upfront with some table around it. Another section of booths to dine. The stylish atmosphere is very inviting to the mood of the occasion. Del Frisco’s Grille is a great hang out spot for a night out with the girls or even a date night! Overall, even though we were disappointed with our meals, the ambience and service was top notch!

A Dash of Encouragement: Where we were seated a sign caught my attention that said “DO RIGHT AND FEED EVERY MAN”. This powerful statement caught my attention that I needed to ask the manager what does that mean to Del Frisco Grille. Surprisingly, she gave me the whole history and background of the statement. This is literally the story in a nutshell, everyone is given the opportunity to be serve and to dine in a restaurant; it’s just not for an elite and exclusive group of people. This is such an authentic and embracing statement. We all have a responsibility to be kind, respectful and giving. The Lord talks about this in the book of Proverbs 22:9 ” A generous person will be blessed, because he gives food to the poor“. The Lord also says in Romans 2:11 “He does not show favoritism“. So, my question is why should we? We should all be seated at the table; whether you are rich or poor. We should all be treated with the food of love and respect. Some food choices are respect, kindness, an encouraging deed, a hug, a smile…whatever food that person may need at that moment, let’s be encouraged today to help someone sit at a table where they will be fed!
