FALLABELLA FAMILY BISTRO

Let’s Talk “Fallabella Family Bistro”

Location: Falabella Family Bistro is a cute little spot located in the village area of the Grove in Wesley Chapel, FL.

Service: We wanted a quick bite for lunch, as usual we were looking for something casual and unique for our family date day. So the search began on my phone, after browsing we went ahead and made reservations for the restaurant. I wasn’t sure how busy they would have been, hence the reservations. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by a pleasant host and were seated right away. The restaurant was not too busy, which was a bonus. Bianca, our server was hospitalible and very friendly. She helped guide us through the menu choices, which was very helpful! Thanks Bianca 😊.

Food: So, I’m craving Italian right, “viva Italia!” and Fallabella Family Bistro was that little unique yet casual restaurant, that met my cravings. The menu was not overwhelming with too many food choices, which we appreciated. It was simple offering a small variety. For an appetizer we ordered the Spuntino- Antipasto board (chef’s selection of imported cheese and meats). My main entree the “Pasta alla Norma” (penne with eggplant, tomato and basil sauce topped with ricotta cheese with grill chicken) I must say was a bit oily for my liking. However, the flavor of the sauce was that italian taste I craved for except for the extra oil. My husband ordered the Lemon Butter Salmon (salmon filet in a creamy lemon butter sauce, served with your choice of spaghetti or vegetable medley), he chose the spaghetti “hmmm”, is what I said. The Salmon was delicious 😋, except the choice of spaghetti was not the best combination in my opinion. In the end, guess who was right 😂! Our dessert was finished with a Caramel cheesecake, which in my opinion was a bit on the heavy side, but yet tasteful. Overall, flavors of italian food was there, food temperature was on point. we would recommend Fallabella Family Bistro if you are looking for a nice cozy spot in the Wesley Chapel area.

Ambience: This recently opened italian, casual and bistro style eatery and according to their site the restaurant is an independent and family owned with an approach to great food inspired by generations of their rich family history in both Milan, Italy and New York City, NY. The open area of the restaurant is inviting for to open seating with a contemporary design of coziness. One wall area that could not be missed is the decorated wall with the post cards of all the places the family has visited; which drew my attention as we are travelers as well. This is a unique display to the decor, as a customer I felt a bit connected to the family after reading some of the cards; nice touch!

A Dash of Encouragement: Family, this cozy spot was a sense of family all around! Families most often come together around food; for example, some families eat together at dinners or special occasions like Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays the list can go on. Depending on your family dynamics, getting together could be refreshing and for others it can be a challenge. It’s easy as an onlooker of another family and say wow, I wish my family could be like that or it could just be the opposite. My encouraging note is try not to measure your family to another family, your story is not their story. We could be encouraged or even discouraged by their story, but no matter what it’s their story. As I read the postcards displayed on the wall, I see the many places this family have travelled and it’s encouraging for my family as we also love to travel. On the other hand, there could be certain stories during or about the roads they have traveled that may discourage my family from actually taking the route they chose. At the end of the day, God wants us to honor the family we have, love them deeply and create cherishable memories with them that they can keep the family legacy going. I’ll leave you with these words I’m reminded of as a child “A family that prays together, stays together” Your family culture and story is not someone else’s story!
