Let’s Talk Sweet T’s Ice Cream Parlor & Snackette
Location: Sweet T’s is located on Falmouth Main Road on the beautiful island of Antigua.
Service: Sweet T’s Ice Cream Parlor service is above par. I may be a little bias about this post as we are good friends with the owner. Tanya made our trip to Antigua one of the most memorable trips by taking us on a tour of her beautiful island and had the pleasure of making a special stop at her local restaurant for lunch and drinks. The staff was friendly and the food was served quickly after our orders were placed.
Food: Ever thought of desiring some good finger lickin’ local island food? Well, Sweet T’s will not disappoint. As stated earlier, Tanya took time out to give us a tour of her beautiful island and made sure we stopped by her local restaurant to taste Antigua’s authentic food. We made our orders and we were served with some island tasty meals. I ordered the BBQ chicken and my husband ordered the stewed conch, both meals came with noodles, miniature johnny cakes and a side salad. Our palettes were extremely pleased. The BBQ chicken was delicious and when I took a bit of my husband’s conch it melted in my mouth, totally tender and not chewy. Of course, for dessert we had the home made ice-cream (yummy) 😋 . How can you go to Sweet T’s and not have a dessert? Overall, great food experience and to top it off we had her mom’s local ginger drink.
Ambience: It’s mainly outside seating with a designated play area for kids. Sweet T’s fun and vibrant color scheme will attract all age groups to this local ice cream parlor & snackette. This is not just an ice-cream parlor, but you can have lunch or dinner here as well. The local music made us move our heads to the rhythm of the local island vibes. Again, Sweet T’s will ensure you get a taste of Antigua and you will leave her establishment saying “Eh tase good.” (Antigua island talk).

A Dash of Encouragement:Sweet T’s Ice Cream parlor reminded me of just being a little person again. As a kid I saw my parents work really hard, we weren’t wealthy, but they made sure we were well fed and well taken care of. It was a time where we didn’t have any type of responsibilities and obligations. How many of us made the statement “I wish I was a kid again” I know I have said it on several occasions. As I sat here with Tanya, btw (by the way) this was the first time meeting her and we just clicked and became instant friends; as she is my husband’s friend from college. Just the sound of peacefulness, good company, great conversation, eating good food, and to top it off yummy ice cream. Back to what I was saying…It reminds me of when we were young kids, we had no fear of being adventurous, we had no fear of where the next meal will come from, or what clothes we will wear. There was no fear in meeting and playing with other kids of our age. Today, we are filled with the fear of being overlooked, or being rejected or what someone thinks or says about us. Allow me to ask the question “Why should we have this fear”? God created us to love Him and others. Each of us is uniquely loved by Him. He has greatness in store for each and every one of us. We should not be fearful of Him loving one person more than the other. He is God! We each have a purpose here on this earth, we each have skill sets, and creativity to do what we have been born to do. We shouldn’t allow anyone to place fear in us to do what we feel led to do or to be. This is our calling, this is our purpose… I say go and be all you were created to do and be! Here is a little something I would like to leave you with…”FEAR- False evidence appearing real. FAITH- Forsaking All, I trust Him!” I encourage us to say…”Let’s have a heart of a child again”.
