Let’s Talk “Bon Appetit” (Work in PROGRESS)
The adventure begins with one restaurant that was really different for me……..
Location: Bon Appetit Restaurant is located in Dunedin, FL.
Service: We were welcomed with a warm smile by the hostess and seated very quickly since we had reservations 😉 . I can’t say enough about making reservations at places you plan to visit. Our server was friendly, familiar with the menu, and checked on us just enough to allow us to make the most of our time there and still feel taken care of. When you go to a restaurant that expects you to pay a certain price, you also expect them to provide you with an experience.
Food: I started with the the Avocado Soup. I had never had an avacado based gazpacho before so this was definitely something I was looking forward to trying. This was a unique dish, and the taste of fresh mint blended so well with the avocado. Wow! My hubby had the New Orleans Shrimp & Smoked Sausage Gumbo with robust traditional Cajun flavors. His eyes lit up so I knew it was a hit.
The menu choices for entrees included something for everyone, yup, even vegetarians. No shade! Lol. I would say my selection of the pan seared steak was not my favorite. It was too bland, not well seasoned. My husband on the other hand enjoyed the Rack of New Zealand Lamb, which was so tender and tasty. Overall, the experience was very quint as I love the fact the location of the restaurant was right on the water. I would recommend this restaurant if you wanted the experience of tranquility by the water and unique cuisine!

I would recommend this restaurant if you wanted the experience of tranquility by the water and unique cuisine! Inside, the decor was classic with white linen covered tables. We sat inside where the view was overlooking the bay. It was breathless. There is also the option to sit outside on the patio. Seems that would be a nice choice on a cool evening, maybe at sunset.

A Dash of Encouragement: As I sat waiting to be served while looking out the window and seeing the bay the word peace came to mind. In the weeks leading up to this dinner, I was feeling way in over my head trying to balance work and family. It is that overwhelming feeling that too many of us have in our lives. The scripture I thought of was John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”. So take heart! That stands out to me to enjoy the moment with your family, live in the now and not in the tomorrow. Bon Appetit Restaurant said “Happy eating, enjoy your family, live in the now, laugh in the now, and continue to love in the now”.
